چکیده

The time-dependent Dirac equation is solved using the three-dimensional Finite Difference-Time Domain (FDTD) method. The dynamics of the electron wave packet in a vector potential is studied in the arrangements associated with the AharonovBohm effect. The solution of the Dirac equation showed a change in the velocity of the electron wave packet even in a region where no forces acted on the electron. The solution of the Dirac equation agreed with the prediction of classical dynamics under the assumption that the dynamics was defined by the conservation of generalized or canonical momentum. It was also shown that in the case when the magnetic field was not zero, the conservation of generalized or canonical momentum was equivalent to the action of the Lorentz force. Dirac equation in magnetic-solenoid field

We consider the Dirac equation in the magnetic-solenoid field (the field of a solenoid and a collinear uniform magnetic field). For the case of Aharonov-Bohm solenoid, we construct self-adjoint extensions of the Dirac Hamiltonian using von Neumann’s theory of deficiency indices. We find self-adjoint extensions of the Dirac Hamiltonian and boundary conditions at the AB solenoid. Besides, for the...

The new implicit finite difference method for the solution of time fractional advection-dispersion equation

In this paper, a numerical solution of time fractional advection-dispersion equations are presented. The new implicit nite dierence methods for solving these equations are studied. We examinepractical numerical methods to solve a class of initial-boundary value fractional partial dierentialequations with variable coecients on a nite domain. Stability, consistency, and (therefore) convergenceof t...

Hybrid differential transform-finite difference solution of 2D transient nonlinear annular fin equation

In the present paper, hybrid differential transform and finite difference method (HDTFD) is applied to solve 2D transient nonlinear straight annular fin equation. For the case of linear heat transfer the results are verified with analytical solution. The effect of different parameters on fin temperature distribution is investigated. Effect of time interval of differential transform on the stabi...

Finite Difference-Time Domain solution of Dirac equation and the Klein Paradox

The time-dependent Dirac equation is solved using the three-dimensional Finite Difference-Time Domain (FDTD) method. The dynamics of the electron wave packet in a scalar potential is studied in the arrangements associated with the Klein paradox: potential step barriers and linear potentials. No Klein paradox is observed.

On the Dirac and Pauli Operators with Several Aharonov-bohm Solenoids

We study the self-adjoint Pauli operators that can be realized as the square of a self-adjoint Dirac operator and correspond to a magnetic field consisting of a finite number of Aharonov-Bohm solenoids and a regular part, and prove an Aharonov-Casher type formula for the number of zero-modes for these operators. We also see that essentially only one of the Pauli operators are spin-flip invarian...
